Selecting a Studio Backdrop

Finding the perfect look for your images is important. In our newly designed studio we have several backdrop options to choose from. Here is an overview of studio looks.

Brick with Wood Doors

If you like a classic look that feels more natural, then this is the perfect backdrop. With warm brick accents and beautiful wood doors, this backdrop has the feel of an actual location, while still having the curated studio feel. Textures and plant elements add character to the image, while still putting you and your pet in the spotlight. I have several chair, bench and couch options that pair well with this scene.

White Fireplace

This is a bright an neutral background option that also has the feel of a home while still having a curated studio look. This area is best for pets without people, or for a few people with pets, seated on the ground. This scene has a bright and soft at home type of look. Images in this scene work well with the little grey couch, or no couch at all. There are several variations with plants etc. that we can create.

Grey Paper

Simple and beautiful, paper backdrops bring you and your pet to the foreground. Paper backdrops have a modern and clean feel. We can photograph with or without a couch/bench/chair for seating for you and your pets. This works well for large and small groups. The grey backdrop is a nice neutral option. It’s not as bright as the white and has a bit of a softer feel. The grey backdrop color can also be changed when editing the image. So, if you would like a fun color to play around with, then grey is a great option.

White Paper

Simple and beautiful, paper backdrops bring you and your pet to the foreground. Paper backdrops have a modern and clean feel. We can photograph with or without a couch/bench/chair for seating for you and your pets. This works well for large and small groups. The white backdrop option has a bright, clean and simple look. The most modern feel of all the backdrops. White truly highlights the subject first, bringing all of the attention to the most important part of the image; you and your pet.

When looking at backdrop options, think about your home and how you would like to enjoy your images. We should select a backdrop that compliments your decor. If there is a specific place in your home that you would like to hang a wall art piece, or display a photo box or book, let’s look at the colors in that space, along with architectural elements, and decor style. Paper backdrops are nice for modern spaces, or busy areas that need a more simplified look. The brickand door backdrop works well in rustic or classic feeling spaces. The white fireplace is pretty versatile and works well in modern as well as traditional spaces.
