6 Mothers Day Ideas for Dog Mom’s

I became a fur mom to our girl Hannah back in 2017. I always love spending time with her and doing special things. This year will be the first year that I now have two “doghters.” As we adopted our second dog Lady last month. Whether you are a dog mom yourself looking to celebrate with your fur baby, or looking for some great ideas for a special fur mom, these should give you some inspiration.

#1 Doggy Date Night:

Organize a dog-friendly dinner or drinks with friends and their pets, so dog mom can spend time with her dog while socializing with other dog lovers.

#2 Take a Hike:

Take dog mom and her furry friend on a scenic hike, bring along a picnic and make a day out of it.

#3 Make a Homemade Treat Basket:

Get creative in the kitchen and prepare a basket of homemade treats and toys for dog mom to enjoy with her pup.

#4 Set Up a Doggy Adventure:

Plan a fun adventure day with mom and her dog, such as a day trip to the beach or a nearby lake

#5 Create a Memory Book:

Compile all the dog mom's favorite memories with her furry friend into a scrapbook or photo album, so she can look back on those special moments for years to come.

#6 Have a Photoshoot:

Hire a professional pet photographer to capture some beautiful memories of mom pup. ( I know I can help you with this one!)

If you’re looking for a gift to buy the dog mom in your life, here are some specific ideas;

  • Personalized Dog Mom Jewelry: Consider getting her a piece of jewelry with her dog's name or picture engraved on it.

  • Custom Dog Portrait: Commission a professional artist to create a unique portrait of her beloved pet. (I know of two amazing artists for this! https://www.lindseyfinchart.com/ and https://www.instagram.com/emilylouisefineart/)

  • Dog Subscription Box: Sign her up for a monthly subscription box that includes dog treats, toys, and other fun goodies. (such as https://www.dogmomlifestyles.com/ )

  • A Pet GPS Tracker: Help give the dog mom peace of mind by getting her a GPS tracker for her dog, so she always knows where her pup is.

  • A Dog DNA Test Kit: Gift her a DNA test kit that will help her discover more about her dog's breed and ancestry. (This is one I would personally love to get!)
